A long-time analyst on regional issues, Alin Ozinian has significant experience working for NGOs and think tanks in Turkey and Armenia, focusing mainly on issues around human rights and minority rights. She has published numerous reports, research studies, and articles regarding Turkish-Armenian relations, the Armenian Diaspora, and regional developments.

Ozinian has a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy and a Master’s degree in Turkish Studies, both from Yerevan State University (YSU). She is currently a PhD. researcher at YSU’s Faculty of Political Sciences. After her internship at Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Middle East Desk, Ozinian worked at the Permanent Mission of Armenia to the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), in Turkey.

She was the Regional Project Coordinator for International Alert’s Caucasia Development Network, based in London, and served as a press secretary of the Turkish-Armenian Business Council in Istanbul. In 2013, she received the Jampruk research award on migration issues, announced by the United Nations Association. Her research was part of the European Commission’s “Reinforcement of Management of Migratory flows in Armenia” project. Ozinian has also worked at the Civilitas Foundation in Yerevan, Armenia.

Since 2015, Ozinian is the Regional Analyst of the Armenian Assembly of America, based in Washington DC. Ozinian is fluent in Turkish (native), Western and Eastern Armenian (native), English, and Russian. She is married with one daughter.
