Gordyaen Benyamin Jermayi is a Kurdish human rights advocate born in Urmia, Rojhelat (East Kurdistan). He is a member of a human rights organization that documents human rights violations in East Kurdistan. Since 2020, he has presented and submitted documents to international bodies, including the UNHRC and the United Nations’ Middle East-Africa Minority Forums. He is also the founder of the Kurdistani People platform on Instagram, which works to raise awareness of Kurdish issues. He has used this platform to connect Kurds from different parts of Kurdistan and the diaspora with each other and fundraise for people in need.
