Yasin Duman is an independent researcher with a Ph.D. from the Coventry University Centre for Trust, Peace, and Social Relations, where he examined intergroup relations and integration in the context of Syrian refugees in Turkey. He is the author of Rojava: Bir Demokratik  Özerklik Deneyimi [Rojava: An Experience of Democratic Autonomy] (İletişim, 2016) and co-editor of Methodological Approaches in Kurdish Studies: Theoretical and Practical Insights from the Field (Lexington Books, 2019). His current research focuses on displacement and integration policies, intergroup relations, and peacebuilding efforts in Kurdistan.
